Supporting a Cause

At one point, Bertram Cates has the option to back out of the trial, but he chooses to continue with the proceedings because he truly believes that he has done nothing wrong. For what cause(s) would you be willing to stand up and fight or lead a protest, even if it meant your life would be turned upside down? In other words, what cause would you testify for or defend in order to support your belief in it? Why?

I would stand up for many things. I would absolutely stand up for being a vegetarian because i truly believe that it is the right thing to do. Whether you agree with me or not is up to you but i am willing to stand up for my right to be a vegetarian. I would go to any length to ensure my right to be one.

Their are very few religious or political issues that I would turn my life upside down for, but I would protect myself and my family against physical harm. If someone were to attack us criminals or terrorists I would protect my family and my home. I see the physical danger at this time of my life but down the road I might perseive political or religious ideas as potentially damaging.

Last year in english we read the book 1984, and in the book everyone in the world was being watched. They were also striped of all their rights. I would defend all my rights as an American to prevent a grim future such as the one in 1984.

There are not to many beliefs for me to stand up for. Just my religion my rights as an american and standing up and saying something when changes are being made that i dont agree with.

There are many things in life that i would stand up for. It is really hard to list them because it all depends on the situation that im in. Right now i might say one thing but being in an actual, real life situation i might do something else. But some of the things that i will stand up for without a question is my right to vote, and i will always stand up for respect of my family!

I believe in a lot of things that i would stand up for. Now thinking about it, i am almost able to vote and i get a lot more freedoms next year. I stand up for my right to vote. Everyone should have a say in who they want to control our country.

I would be willing to stand up for many reasons. One of my reasons would be to stand up and defend my religious beliefs. My life would not be turned upside down by any event. I would stand up for my religion because I am a religious person but not an extremist.
